60 Days of Us
In 60 Days of Us, former soldier Will has to protect his younger sister Evelyn while guiding other survivors through a zombie outbreak. One important early decision leads to different groups and story paths, giving each route its own relationships and problems.
This game does a particularly good job with its action. The fights are lively, the danger rarely feels far away, and the growing signs that the infected can think and cooperate make them more frightening than the usual shambling crowd. The mystery develops gradually enough to keep those encounters interesting.
There is also a likable group of people at the center of it all. Their humor and disagreements give the story breathing room, while Will’s responsibility for them keeps the stakes personal. Adult content is limited so far, and some paths are still being developed, but the survival story is already engaging on its own.
