Forbidden Orders is a unique blend of survival action and choice-driven adult storytelling. As Tom, you and your girlfriend Nora have sought refuge in a military outpost following a mind-altering viral outbreak. The safety of the base has strict conditions: bring back supplies, or the commanding officers will collect their payment from Nora. What makes the game shine is that the NTR and corruption elements are entirely tied to your gameplay skill; if you succeed at your action-oriented supply runs, you can pursue a vanilla romance or netori paths. If you fail, the dark reality of your situation takes over.
Instead of standard RPG Maker combat, the game relies on real-time scavenging, lockpicking, and evasion minigames. This creates actual tension, as returning empty-handed has devastating narrative consequences. The bespoke, high-quality art style beautifully captures the gritty atmosphere and character emotions, making the slow-build corruption feel grounded and impactful.
As the game is still early in development, there is significant room for polish. The core gameplay loop can feel somewhat linear once you master it, some adult scenes currently lack lengthy buildup or aftermath, and sudden deaths during exploration can erase your unsaved progress. Despite these rough edges, it offers one of the most compelling and dynamic takes on the survival-NTR genre available.
