Desirium throws you into a seemingly normal college life that quickly takes a very weird, supernatural turn. As a new exchange student crashing with the Hayes family, your main goal is to build relationships with the stunning women living with you. The plot relies heavily on building intense romantic tension before you ever get to the bedroom. Just be prepared for a bit of a bumpy ride in the early chapters, as the protagonist makes some highly questionable choices during intense scenes—something the developer is actively working to overhaul in upcoming updates.
The absolute standout feature of this game is the rendering quality. Utilizing the VAM engine, the visuals are a massive step up from standard visual novels. The character models are classically beautiful with a level of polish that makes every lingering stare and teasing animation incredibly erotic. While there are currently no full sex scenes in these early builds, the smooth physics during the solo and teasing moments show massive potential for future hardcore content.
If you can look past some of the early-version writing and the fact that several characters look similar, the underlying mystery involving a demonic presence adds a really interesting layer to the standard dating sim formula. It is an impressive foundation that will only get better as the massive planned remake rolls out so be sure to keep an eye on it if the game interests you!
