Witch Hunter
Witch Hunter follows Lord Cedrick as he enters a magical kingdom under the false identity of Rick Hoffman, a mild-mannered librarian trusted by the local witches. His real mission is to find a successor to the throne and break the witches' unity from inside their own world. Each new location and character gives Cedrick another opportunity to gather information, influence relationships, and advance a hidden political scheme shaped by fantasy intrigue, adult encounters, mini-games, combat, and developing story outcomes.
Cedrick is not an accidental visitor or an innocent hero caught in unfamiliar circumstances. Phobos sends him into Meridian with a specific objective, and the librarian disguise is the tool that makes his mission possible. Helpful conversations, small errands, and friendly introductions can all move him closer to the witches while concealing the threat he represents.
Progress revolves around exploring Meridian and checking its locations for new character events. The Tavern can introduce fresh contacts, while Miranda's Potions room, the Prison, the school Radio room, and other areas develop separate parts of Cedrick's mission. Elyon adds weight to the royal conflict, Miranda brings shapeshifter intrigue, and characters such as Yan Lin, Alchemy, Tom Lair, Jink, Beth, and Courtney make the kingdom increasingly difficult to manipulate. Monster encounters and rebel battles appear when the conflict becomes more dangerous.
Witch Hunter combines a character-focused Ren'Py story with exploration, collectible items, mini-games, and turn-based combat. These systems do not replace the visual-novel structure, but they add variety between conversations and adult events. Different locations and characters become relevant as the story advances, encouraging players to revisit areas instead of simply reading through one uninterrupted sequence.
The 2D visual style is one of the game's clearest strengths. Illustrated characters, fantasy locations, and animations give it the feeling of an adult magical cartoon rather than another generic 3D sandbox. The parody setting draws on familiar witch-team ideas, but reorganizes them around an infiltrator whose friendly appearance hides a deliberate plan to destabilize the group.
The adult tension grows from Cedrick's access to the witches and the deception behind every apparently helpful interaction. His librarian identity allows him to enter private spaces, gather information, build trust, and test the relationships holding the group together. Alongside its character events, the game adds new locations, clothing variants, collectible items, battle scenes, animations, and small gameplay systems. These elements support the central fantasy of an infiltrator slowly turning a magical alliance against itself.
Witch Hunter is still being developed, so its story paths, gameplay systems, and planned endings are not yet complete. Players looking for a finished narrative may prefer to wait for a later version. Those interested in illustrated fantasy, adult parody, hidden motives, and an expanding cast can already explore the available chapters and follow the project as more content is added.
