Vespertine
Vespertine brings Myrielle and Margot into your apartment, along with very different ideas about how to behave as housemates. Myrielle is an abrasive childhood friend with little interest in working, while Margot is kinder and holds down two jobs. The girls' relationships include each other as well as encounters with the male protagonist, giving the game a mix of girls-only and male-led adult scenes. Its sexy, heavily stylized models and animations are the clearest draw, with curves and proportions that give the cast a distinctive silhouette.
The story asks you to tolerate a lot from Myrielle, and the protagonist's passivity can be frustrating if you'd rather confront her. Despite the interface offering various buttons and responses, the narrative gives you little room to change that arrangement. There's also some awkward scheduling and occasional performance trouble, with a short amount of content available so far. Still, the character work is impressive for an early project. If you enjoy assertive girls, a male lead who takes the back seat, and a strong focus on animated encounters, Vespertine knows which part of the experience to put on display.
