Shifting Domains
Shifting Domains has a rough awakening waiting for Asher. One day he's a regular college student; the next he's tiny, stranded in a fantasy world, and taking orders from a sly witch. Her trials might be his way home, so he joins forces with others in the same predicament. None of them is guaranteed to put his interests first.
The giantess premise is clear from the start, but the characters give it more staying power. They're fun to get to know, with motives beyond being frightening or powerful, and the story leaves room for those relationships to develop. Unique spells, imaginative size-themed encounters, and some well-conceived boss fights help it feel like an RPG with ideas of its own. The art is made without AI, too.
You're still playing an early release, so the party has only recently started to come together and the full range of content isn't here yet. The required combat is generally light on grinding, with no random encounters and options to speed battles up. I can see why players finished this version wishing there were more: its best scenes and character moments suggest a much bigger adventure ahead, while the current chapter ends just as its systems are opening up.
