Mesmerized
Mesmerized begins with Mrs. Loveday, a neighbor whose partying days appear to be behind her, and an 18-year-old protagonist who wants to change that. His ability to hypnotize people lets him manipulate her drinking and behavior, and the story soon reaches other women in his life. This adult visual novel is built around intoxication, mind control, and sexual coercion, with a distinctive art style that captures exaggerated expressions particularly well. There is plenty of visual content and little mechanical busywork, but the protagonist's cruelty is central to the experience rather than a choice players can simply avoid.
The game knows exactly which fantasy it is pursuing. It spends time showing the effects of hypnosis and intoxication through slurred dialogue, unsteady movement, and expressive renders. That attention to detail gives the scenes a recognizable style, though the sex itself can arrive quickly after the buildup.
Mrs. Loveday's history sounds like the start of a neighbor romance, but the protagonist's manipulation takes the story somewhere much harsher. Players should expect a direct, disturbing tale with limited say over his behavior. The art style is unusual enough that its appeal will come down to personal taste.
