Invulnerable takes the recognizable Invincible cast, ages everyone up to adulthood, and follows an alternate version of Mark with an imperial conquest hanging over his personal life. His interactions with familiar characters unfold through a corruption-focused story involving mind control, blackmail, and conflicting loyalties. It's a deliberately darker superhero parody, with coercive situations and incest themes forming part of its adult content.
The character artwork and animated scenes are backed by music and environmental audio that help locations feel alive. A map and quest hints guide you between events, giving the game a straightforward rhythm of exploration and story progression. Some scenes arrive in short installments with enforced waits, and the writing doesn't always make Mark's changing motives convincing.
