Class Pet
Class Pet gives Emma a great reason to stay at her new school: a large payment awaits her if she graduates. It also gives her a reason to worry. Once a year, the students elect a Class Pet who no longer has the protection of the school's normal rules. Between helpful friends and classmates with plans of their own, Emma has to get through daily life without becoming an easy target.
The election is a clever hook, and Emma's changing standing with the other characters makes it easy to wonder who might help her when it matters. The game looks good, reads smoothly, and keeps its tone relatively playful despite the bullying. It's also easy to pick up without learning a complicated set of systems.
Right now, the possibilities sound broader than they play. Events repeat often, the available story runs out quickly, and choices don't always seem to affect election day. One route involving Violet has reportedly been blocked by relationship requirements players couldn't meet through ordinary play. I like the idea of finding a way around the school's cruel tradition; the game needs more working routes and surprises before that possibility feels fully real.
